His only publication is a work, called the newspaper, which the scholars disagree about its typology. Of course, what has been neglected in the commentaries on this work and its author, and the author seems to be the main source of controversies over the nature of the present work, is that the thought and historical thinking, the methodology and method of historiography, and some of the innovative and progressive political views And the sheriff's social, are not aware. Therefore, in this research, it is attempted to analyze the author's poetic system and his historiography thinking in the light of his political, social and cultural conditions, and his descriptive-analytical methodology and attributes of his historiography should be obtained. . The achievements of this research show that the macroeconomic effect of the axioms, religions, Islam, and moralisticism in the continuation of the tradition of historical historiography and in some ways such as the tendency towards simplification, a critical approach to government and governors, as well as a subjective and individualistic approach to socialism (Authorship) has a new approach that has a different effect in the field of Iranian historiography</em><em>.</em> این پژوهش درباره‌ی اندیشه‌ی تاریخ­نگاری میرزا محمد کلانتر فارس، از شخصیت‌های دیوان‌سالار- مورخ عصر زندیه است. یگانه نگاشته‌ی وی، اثری است؛ موسوم به روزنامه که پژوهشگران درباره گونه شناسی آن، باهم اختلاف‌نظر دارند. البته آنچه در اظهارنظرها در مورد این اثر و نویسنده آن در نظر گرفته نشده و به نظر نگارنده، منشأ اصلی اختلاف‌نظرهای موجود درباره‌ی ماهیت اثر حاضر، شده، آن است که اندیشه و تفکر تاریخی، روش و شیوه تاریخ‌نگاری و دیدگاه‌های بعضاً بدیع و پیشروانه سیاسی و اجتماعی کلانتر، موردعنایت قرار نگرفته است. بنابراین در این پژوهش، تلاش می‌شود تا منظومه­ی فکری نویسنده و اندیشه‌ی تاریخ­نگاری وی در پرتو اوضاع سیاسی، اجتماعی و فرهنگی عصر وی واکاوی شود و شاخصه‌ها و اختصاصات تاریخ­نگاری او با استفاده از روش توصیفی- تحلیلی به دست داده شود. دستاوردهای این پژوهش نشان می­دهد که اثر کلانتر از جهاتی چون سلطنت محوری، ایران‌مداری، اسلام مداری و اخلاق‌گرایی در تداوم سنت تاریخ‌نگاری پیشین و از جهاتی همانند گرایش به ساده‌نویسی، رویکرد انتقادی به حکومت و حکومتگران و نیز رویکرد اجتماعی جزئی­نگر و فردگرایی (مؤلف محوری) دارای رویکردی تازه به شمار می‌رود که در حوزه‌ی تاریخ‌نگاری ایرانی اثری متفاوت است https://jhr.usb.ac.ir/article_4503_0dc95b996d38da3c5f756b6189c0136e.pdf
