Abstract

This article examines the cultural and civilizational relations between Iran and East Africa from ancient times to the present day, with a focus on Bandar Kong as one of the dynamic ports in southern Iran. The main question of this article is "What achievements have been gained from the cultural and social interactions between Iran and East Africa?" and the main hypothesis is "The mutual influence of Iranian and East African cultures on each other." The social and cultural results of these interactions are considered as independent variables of the research. The aim of this article is to provide first-hand information about the cultural and civilizational relations between Iran and East Africa, with a focus on the role of southern coastal residents in this process, and to present a new perspective on the interactions between Iran and East Africa in modern times. The research findings are based on a descriptive-analytical and field method, and examine the type and manner of social and cultural interactions between Iran and East Africa, with a focus on the influential role of Bandar Kong as one of the important southern ports in this relationship.
