Abstract

The purpose of this article is to study of the elements and components of Iranian identity in the book of "Zubdeh al-Tawarikh" by Hafez Abro. Since the identity of any country is a historical category and must be studied in its historical context; Therefore, the field of historiography is a suitable method for understanding Iranians' perception of their identity in different periods. This research, while studying the elements and components of Iranian identity in the book of "Zubdeh-al-Tawarikh" by Hafez Ebro, seeks to answer the question of how these elements and components were represented in the book of "Zubdeh-al-Tawarikh"? For this purpose, this research examines the components of Iranian identity in the text of the book "Zobdeh-Al-Tavarikh" with a descriptive-analytical approach and based on library sources. The findings of the research show that Hafez Abro, using a narrative format, has taken advantage of the victories and expansion of Timur and Shahrukh in order to emphasize the concept of "Iran-Zemin" during the reporting of incidents and events. By placing the Timurid amirs in the form of mythological, historical kings and national-religious heroes and the ideal kingship of Iran, he considers their victories and honors as the honors of Iranians, and on the other hand, while praising them, indirectly he advises them.
